European window styles: tilt-and-turn and lift-and-slide
If you are used to double-hung and sliding windows, the European approach is a little different. A tilt-and-turn window opens two ways from a single handle: turn it one way and the sash tilts in at the top for secure ventilation; turn it further and the whole sash swings inward like a door, which makes cleaning the outside glass easy from indoors. The sash closes against the frame with multiple locking points around the perimeter.
A lift-and-slide door uses a handle that lifts the heavy sliding panel off its seals so it glides on rollers, then lowers it back to seal when closed. It is the European answer to large patio openings. Possible panel sizes depend on the system and are confirmed in the quote.

Vinyl, aluminum, wood and wood-clad aluminum
- Vinyl (PVC): multi-chamber European profiles in white or in colored and woodgrain finishes, with a different color inside and out if you want.
- Aluminum: slim frames and large glass areas for modern homes and commercial projects.
- Wood: solid wood frames for a warm, traditional look.
- Wood-clad aluminum: wood on the interior, aluminum on the exterior to reduce maintenance on the weather side.
Glazing (double or triple), hardware and opening options are chosen per unit. We don't quote generic performance figures here; technical data and delivery terms are given in your quote for the exact configuration.
Sizes in inches (metric in parentheses)
Every unit is made to order, so there are no standard sizes to choose from. Send dimensions in inches or millimeters, whichever your drawings use. Please state clearly whether a size is the rough opening or the frame size, and the quote will show both systems, for example 36 in × 60 in (914 mm × 1524 mm).
European windows are designed for European installation details, so ask your installer to review how the frames will sit in your wall assembly before you order. If you need frame section drawings for that review, mention it in your request.

- Production. After the final sizes and order are confirmed, the units are custom-made in Poland.
- Ocean shipping. We arrange packing and ocean freight to the US. Shipping terms, the destination port or delivery address and the responsibilities for import clearance are set out in the quote.

US code compliance and ratings for your project are checked by your architect or installer. Technical documentation for the proposed products comes with the quote so they can review it before you order.
Who handles customs and import duties?
Import clearance and duties depend on the shipping terms agreed for your order. These are stated in the quote; we recommend talking to your customs broker as well.
Can I order just a few windows?
Yes. Tell us how many units you need in the form; small residential projects and larger developments are both welcome.
